Last Mekong Night Market of 2018

We've been to all the Mekong Night Markets in 2018 so we wanted to go out in style and try as many food as we could. Here are some of the foods we tried. I will also link our vlog at the bottom of this blog so you can watch how Mekong Night is like.

Smoke Session BBQ is hands down the best food we tried at Mekong Night.

We got the pork belly with fries and the pork belly was melt in your mouth tender. It was so delicious and the skin was so crispy that I wanted more! The fries were crunchy and were just as good. It was a nice blend between the two and definitely worth the $12.50 that we paid!

Coco Cream MN has some of the best unique twist on tri-color (namva) but this time around we also got the chicken wings with fries which was a new menu item and it was advertised heavily on Facebook. For $9, you can get the chicken wings and fries with a bottle soda but we opted for just chicken wings and fries for $7. The chicken wings were crunchy but plain. They also had a selection of sauce so you can get different sauces to dip your wings in. The appearance looked cool but the taste was your usual chicken wings and fries.

Ninja Sushi is our go to food truck for street food poke bowl and I promise that they never fail to deliver on quantity and quality. We got the Hawaiian Poke Bowl with salmon and it was fresh and delicious. It's about $12 but they pile it on top so it's overflowing and worth your money. I normally get the Secret Ninja Poke bowl but we decided to try something different. Another must from Ninja Sushi is their Hot Cheetorito (Sushi burrito).

You can't go wrong with Sugar Cane drink. I don't remember what this booth was called but the owner puts the sugar cane into a juicer to juice out all the sugar cane juice. She then fills the cup with ice and pours the juice over it. This was $5 and I can tell you that it was so refreshing.

This is the Tuna Poke Bowl from Donburi and it was $7. As you can see, this is small compared to Ninja Sushi's Poke bowl. The tuna was good but for $7, I expected a bit more tuna to get a nice tuna to rice ratio but I ran out of tuna before the rice ran out.

Overall, it was such a fun night trying out food, seeing people and talking to vendors. Mekong Night did not disappoint and we're looking forward to 2019 events!
