The Ultimate Packing List

We get a lot of questions on what to pack when you're going on a trip. Whether it's a domestic or international trip, here is an ultimate list of what to pack. Definitely pick and choose what fits your trip!

Happy Packing!

BASICS

TRAVEL AIDS

  • Stainless steel insulated water bottle - we bought these thermoflask stainless steel water bottles when we went to Iceland and it is amazing! It keeps your water cold or hot all day.

  • Gum and snacks - if you don't want to spend money at the airport or eat salty snacks on the plane, I recommend bringing your own snacks and gum.

  • Noise canceling headphones - the airport and flight can be loud so noise canceling headphones are a lifesaver when you're trying to zone out.

  • Sleeping mask - a must have for when you need to block out lights on a long international flight. This sleeping mask has an ergonomic design.

  • Etude House Korean Skin Mask - If you're on a long international flight and need some skin treatment, put on a Korean skincare mask. It'll make your skin feel refreshed.

  • Travel pillow - This is a must especially for long international flights. Finding a good travel pillow is hard but memory foam always works best for me.

  • Magazines / Books

FUNDS

  • Wallet / Passport holder - I use one of these since it can hold my passport and also my credit cards and cash.

  • Cash - it's always good to carry some cash for smaller purchases or markets that take cash only.

  • Credit cards - cards that don't charge foreign transaction fees work the best for international travel (we have a Costco Citi credit card that we use).

TRAVEL INFO

  • Passport & Visas - check the countries you're visiting to see if you need a visa to enter.

  • Driver's license

  • Itinerary

  • Maps & Directions - make sure to print paper copies in case your internet connection on your phone doesn't work.

  • Travel tickets - we use the airline mobile app for our tickets. It's easy and more convenient than paper tickets.

  • Travel confirmations - always have this handy in case they (car rental, hotels) cannot find your reservations.
